The consistent Can Can Girl (4f Champs Elysees – Osthurry, by Hurricane Run) gained a fourth career success when scoring over a mile and a half at Beverley on Wednesday.
David Brown’s representative had won or been placed on her six previous starts and came into the race off a career-high mark. Chasing the leaders under Kevin Stott, she was travelling well with two furlongs left to race and was pushed along to lead approaching the final furlong. Keeping on well, she held off a late challenge to win by a head.
Can Can Girl was sold by Castletown Stud to owner Bratwa at the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale.
