Castletown Grad Digs Deep For Third Juvenile Win

Florida Filly (2f Sioux Nation – Cmonbabylitemyfire, by Piccolo) defied a double penalty in game fashion in Thursday’s five furlong Novice Stakes at Chelmsford.

The Castletown Stud graduate was twice successful over the minimum trip earlier in the season and was last seen finishing third in a Class 2 contest. Mark Winn rode Iain Jardine’s representative to make all and asked her to quicken approaching the final furlong. Digging deep close home, she denied the favourite by a head on the line.

Florida Filly was sold by Castletown Stud on behalf of Grange Stud at the Goffs Sportsman’s Sale, where she was bought by Compas Equine and owner James Fyffe.
