Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale Draft

Following a terrific season on the track, courtesy of graduates Ottoman Emperor and Suesa, Castletown Stud make their sales return at the relocated Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale. 

Lot 65 is a daughter of Caravaggio, who has made a strong start at stud led by the likes of dual Group winner and Group 1 runner-up Agartha. This filly is out of a winning sister to Grade 3 winner Justaroundmidnight, herself the dam of Grade 1 American Oaks heroine Duopoly.

Lot 177 (pictured above), a colt by proven Group 1 sire Footstepsinthesand, is the first foal out of Stakes performer Miss Rebel.

Lot 186 is a Sioux Nation half-brother to Stakes winner Sharp Star and hails from the family of Height Of Fashion, Ghanaati, Nashwan and Nayef.

Lot 399 is a Dandy Man colt out of a winning half-sister to Group 2 Prix Robert Papin winner Irish Field. Cracksman and Golden Horn feature further down the page.

Lot 443 is a fill by another exciting first crop sire in U S Navy Flag. Her dam, a half-sister to Group 1 winner Elusive Wave, has already produced the 92-rated One Last Look.

Lot 501 is a filly by Footstepsinthesand, out of a Kodiac half-sister to prolific sprinter Red Invader. She hails from the top-class sprinting family of Dream Ahead and Fairyland.

Lot 506 is a filly by Gleneagles, who has enjoyed a career-best season in 2021. She is also a half-sister to two Group performers, while her dam is a half-sister to dual Group 1 winner Araafa.

Lot 531 hails from the first crop of Gustav Klimt and is a half-sisted to 93-rated two-year-old Dinoo. Their dam is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Airmail Special and to the dam of Group2 scorer Secret Weapon.

Lot 585 (pictured above) enjoys a host of updates, with Street Smart having placed at two, while Muguruza added another win in France to her name earlier this month. Another update is that a full-sister to her dam produced impressive two-year-old winner Koy Koy.
