Prydwen Makes It Three In A Row

Castletown Stud graduate Prydwen (4g Camelot – Honey Hunter, by Shamardal) completed a hat-trick of wins when justifying favouritism at Wolverhampton.

George Scott’s improving charge got off the mark at Yarmouth in October and followed up on return earlier this month. Reunited with regular rider Marco Ghiani on Saturday, he was held up in midfield and produced a challenge approaching the final furlong. Soon in front, he ran on well to win by two and a half lengths, going away.

Trained by Scott for Blue Starr Racing, Prydwen was sold by Castletown Stud at the Goffs Orby Sale. The son of Camelot is the first foal out of Honey Hunter, whose three-year-old Mr Trinket gained his maiden win last month, while two-year-old Comanche Country was narrowly denied on debut behind Deneuve.
