Castletown Stud graduate River Of Stars (3f Sea The Stars – Amazone, by Adlerflug) stamped her class when running out an impressive winner of the Listed Chester Stakes on Saturday.
The Ralph Beckett-trained filly gained her maiden victory in fine style last month and stepped up to a mile and six furlongs at the weekend. Ridden to make all by John Egan, she began to quicken from three furlongs out and was pushed clear a furlong later. Keeping on strongly inside the final furlong, she scored by two and a quarter lengths, as dual Group 2 winner Loft chased her home.
River Of Stars provides an exciting update for her full-sister, who will be offered by Castletown Stud at Tattersalls Book 2. Bred by Dr Klaus Schulte, the exciting three-year-old was sold by Castletown Stud for 400,000gns as a foal to owner Woodford Thoroughbreds.
