Another Bertie (3g Acclamation – Temerity, by Zoffany) recorded back-to-back wins with a comfortable success at Southwell on Sunday afternoon.
The son of Acclamation ran out a game winner earlier in the month for Nigel Tinkler and dropped back to five furlongs on his first start for Derek Shaw. Sent off favourite under Faye McManoman, the bay was ridden to lead approaching the final furlong and ran on well to score by two lengths.
Owned by John Saville, Another Bertie was sold by Castletown Stud at Tattersalls Book 2 as a yearling. He is the first foal bred by Khlaid Mishref and Joe Hernon out of Temerity and provides an important update for his brother by Magna Grecia, who was sold at the Goffs November Foal Sale.
