Castletown Stud is a successful thoroughbred stud farm nestled in rich limestone land in the Blackwater Valley of County Cork, Ireland. Established in the 1980‘s, the farm has a rich history of producing and consigning top-class racehorses, from 1992 Nunthorpe Stakes heroine Lyric Fantasy to 2018 Irish Derby hero Latrobe.

The farm is owned and managed by Joe Hernon,  Chairman of The European Federation of Thoroughbred Breeders’ Associations (EFTBA) and a former Chairman of the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association (ITBA).
